The BJP was ahead of the ruling Congress today as officials counted the millions of votes polled in the Karnataka Assembly election. HD Deve Gowda's JDS is appearing to become the kingmaker. In a major blow to Congress, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah trailed on both Badami and Chamundeshwari seats. As per the latest trends, the chances of Congress forming a party even with JD(S)' support; on the other hand, BJP is likely to form the government single-handedly, as it is very close to majority.
