Meanwhile, Sri Lanka who had a sea-saw campaign would aim to upset their more fancied opponents and end the tournament on a winning note.

The subcontinent rivals have played each other on several occasions at the Cricket World Cup with Sri Lanka holding the slender advantage in the overall meetings.
