Several leading players in the market including Samsung, Redmi, Honor, Asus, OnePlus and others have come up with a fresh lot of budget smartphones with advanced specifications and features to lure customers. Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A series, the new Galaxy M30 are some of the new launches in the under Rs 20,000 segment. While Xiaomi continued to dominate the budget smartphone segment in 2018, other names such as Realme, Nokia and Asus too created a buzz in the market. Even Samsung, which witnessed a massive decline in the smartphone segment, is finally playing its hand with some new launches such as Galaxy M20 to garner more sales. With such advanced specifications and a huge assortment, it gets really difficult for customers to choose the right smartphone as per their needs.

Keeping this in mind, we have compiled a list of top three highest rated smartphones which have proved to be reliable performers under the price range of Rs 20,000:


Redmi Note 7 Pro

Redmi smartphones have successfully managed to create a niche in the ever-evolving Indian smartphone market in a comparatively lesser time. The all-new Redmi Note 7, with the Sony IMX586 camera, 48MP resolution and the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor has been one of the most preferred smartphones. Redmi Note 7 Pro’s camera is the major highlight here, and the phone is priced at Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB version will cost Rs 16,999.

Samsung Galaxy A30

Usually, the Samsung Galaxy A series has cost more than Rs 25,000 in India, but this time price bracket has been reduced. Galaxy A30 is priced at Rs 16,990 for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It comes with dual-cameras with 16MP+5MP combination. The smartphone boasts 4000 mAh battery and 15W fast charging technology and comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display.

Realme 2 Pro

Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme has been talk of the town over some time now. Realme 2 Pro is loaded with advanced features and displays a solid blend of style and performance. The base variant of the Realme 2 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory is now selling at Rs 12,990, which is Rs 1,000 less than its launch price. On the other hand, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the device too witnessed a Rs 1,000 price cut and is now available at Rs 14,990.

The top variant of the Realme 2 Pro, which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space, is available for Rs 17,990. Realme 2 Pro is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on top. It comes with a dual-rear camera setup with 16MP cameras and it ships with a 3,500mAh battery.
