2019 LS Polls: Dark clouds loom over Mahagatbandhan as Congress, RLD likely to forge alliance in UP
In what could be a dramatic turnaround of affairs in the political landscape ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there is a strong like hold of Congress forging ties with Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal in Uttar Pradesh.
As per sources close to the matter, Congress has assured the RLD of 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh and one seat in Rajasthan. The meeting between the two has created ripples among the newly stitched SP-BSP Mahagathbandhan.
Speaking exclusively to ABP News, Jayant Chowdhary said that his party was in touch with both the Congress as well as the Mahagatbadhan too.He added that it was natural for all parties to work out their best alliances ahead of the LS Polls. He remained closely guarded on answering the question that whether the RLD would go with the Congress or the BSP-SP alliance.
Earlier, RLD National Spokesperson Anil Dubey said that the Mahagatbandhan has finalized the seat distribution in Uttar Pradesh and his party is in talks with their leadership over the seats and shall. Our major goal is to defeat the Bharatiya Janta Party for which we all are putting up a united front.
