This news comes on the back of a major development the Congress General Secretary for Western Uttar Pradesh, Jyotirajye Scindia, held talks with RLD leader Jayant Chowdhary twice at the behest of Priyanka Gandhi.

As per sources close to the matter, Congress has assured the RLD of 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh and one seat in Rajasthan. The meeting between the two has created ripples among the newly stitched SP-BSP Mahagathbandhan.
