Unnao Rape Victim Battles For Life: Akhilesh Blames Yogi Govt
Former CM Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday visited Lucknow hospital to meet the lawyer and victim of Unnao rape case who are battling for life after meeting with an "accident".
Yadav, addressed media after meeting the victim and lashed out at Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath as he put the onus of the entire incident on UP government.
“This incident has shaken the entire Uttar Pradesh. What was the fault of the girl who had to lose both her parents?” Akhilesh said. “She only wanted justice for the brutality she was put through and UP government kept ignoring her voice. An action was taken only after she tried to immolate herself” former UP CM said.
He further questioned the law and order situation in the state and said that “the law and order in UP is in shambles”.
He further held CM Yogi Adityanath and his government responsible and questioned them for inaction on BJP MLA Kuldeep Senger who is the prime accused in the case. “One can never trust Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister” Yadav said.
The victim is on life support after a truck rammed into her car, while she was on her way to Rae Bareli, killing her mother and aunt and severely injuring her and her lawyer.
