New Delhi: A 39-year-old female flight attendant allegedly committed suicide in Delhi’s Hauz Khas on Friday. Her family alleged that she was harassed for dowry.

An FIR under IPC section 304B has been registered against Mayank and his parents.

Before jumping off the terrace, Anisiya’s husband Mayank Singhvi allegedly told police that she had sent a message to him saying that she would kill herself. Mayank, a software engineer in Gurgaon, told police that they had regular fights as there were "compatibility issues".

Anisiya Batra worked with a German airline.

She was rushed to the nearby hospital and was declared brought dead.

Anisiya’s family alleged that she was being tortured since she got married to Mayank Singhvi two years ago. The family further claims that Mayank was married earlier and he had hidden this from Ananias and her family.

Anisiya’s father had earlier also registered a case to the police saying that something happens to the daughter it would be because of Mayank and his family.

They had an argument on Friday as well, following which Anisiya jumped from the terrace, police said. Police have registered a case and are questioning the husband and his family members.
