Delhi Fir: A fire broke out in a light bulb manufacturing factory at Udyog Nagar in Peera Garhi area early on Tuesday morning. As per initial reports, 15 fire tenders are currently present at the spot as the efforts to douse the flames continue. Cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. As of now, no injuries or casualties into the incident have been reported.

The fire broke out at 5.15 a.m. at the factory located in West Delhi's Peeragarhi area. The blaze that started out on the ground floor, quickly spread to the first and second floors. "A total of 25 fire tenders were pressed into service and the blaze was doused at 7.45 a.m. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined", Dharmpal Bhardwaj, the fire officer, told IANS.

Besides, a fire broke out in a rubber factory in Powai, Mumbai. Four fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. More details about the same are awaited.

Also, last night in Indore,  two wood godowns and two shops in the Gurunanak Timber market gutted in the fire around 9 pm on Monday. However, the fire was later controlled.

The news of the fire in Delhi comes just days after a devastating fire in Surat at a coaching class claimed lives of 22 students last week, highlighting various lapses on part of officials of the local municipal corporation as well as the builders.
