Modi's wife asks about her rights
The 62-year-old retired schoolteacher has sought a copy of the order under which the security has been provided to her, saying she is “frightened by the presence” of the commandos and citing the example of Indira Gandhi’s assassination by her guards in 1984.
“I travel by public transport. My security personnel move in official vehicles,” she has said in the plea filed with the SP of Mehsana, where she lives with her brothers.
Ashok, one of her brothers, said she felt “uncomfortable and insecure”. “Even when she walks, the commandos follow her,” he said.
