New Delhi: Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben has been thrown in the spotlight after her high profile husband finally acknowledged her as his wife.

But as the media reached her address to get her side of the story, Jashodaben is nowhere to be found.

According to a report in the English daily Times of India, her brother told journalists that Jashodaben is on a pilgrimage with a group of women.

He also said that she has given up footwear and rice to see her husband become the Prime Minister of India.

The BJP PM candidate revealed the name of his wife in the nomination papers he filed for contesting elections in Vadodara.

Up until then, the truth of Modi’s maritial status had been left ambiguous.
