She reached JLN stadium, the venue of the membership drive, to get formally inducted into the party on Sunday morning.

When asked what made her join BJP, the 28 year old dancer said she hasn’t thought of anything while joining the party. She said that she is highly impressed by all the works done by the party.

Apart from Sapna, Vikram Bhatt and former DCP of Delhi Police L N Rao also joined the party.

PM Modi launched the membership drive of the ruling BJP from his Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday, noting that it will further connect people from all walks of life with the saffron party.

"From the soil of Kashi, I greet each dedicated worker of the party. Today, I got an opportunity to launch the BJP's membership campaign from Kashi," he said, pointing out that it will strengthen the saffron party.

The launch of the membership drive coincided with the 118th birth anniversary of Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Sapna had earlier campaigned for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections. Her pictures with Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari had fuelled speculations of her joining the party then, which were later denied by her.
