New Delhi: Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav has been admitted in Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, after his health reportedly deteriorated again on Monday evening, a day after he was discharged from a Lucknow hospital on Sunday.

Yadav was admitted to Medanata Hospital at around 7:50 pm, where he has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit, reports said.

The 79-year-old SP supremo was admitted to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, on Sunday,  for a routine check-up after his blood sugar level showed a rise. He was later discharged after a few hours last night.

Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Yadav at his residence in Lucknow and enquired about his health.

The Chief Minister later tweeted the photographs of his meeting with Yadav.

Also present on the occasion were SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, his son Arjun and daughter Tina.

Mulayam's brother Shivpal Yadav was also seen in one of the pictures.

The Samjawadi party had forged a pre-poll alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party and contested the Lok Sabha elections together. Among the Yadav dynasts who contested the polls, only Akhilesh and Mulayam were able to secure their seats to the Parliament.

Mulayam Singh Yadav has been facing health issues since past few weeks.
