New Delhi: At a time when Tamil Nadu is battling heavy rains and floods & the country is praying for the battered state, statements of certain people prove how low their discourse can plunge to.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy and dismissed IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt had their salvos ready, even during a critical juncture, to attack their opponents.

“Chennai rain water flooding is actually due to PC's Uzbekis tears at the loss of their business. Blame ED and IT for it,” Swamy’s tweet read in which he apparently taking a dig at former finance minister P Chidambaram.   The leader did get a mouthful from Twitteratis for blurting out insensitive comments.

A similar tweet was posted by expelled IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt. He took the opportunity of the Chennai floods to mock the Central government.   “Dear Chennai,Hope the Cows are safe. Should the Centre step in to ensure their safety? Take care, The ever concerned Nationalist Bhakt,” Bhatt posted in a bid to garner more attention.

@sanjivbhatt No wonder you were so incompetent and got fired! — Vishal Mehra (@SimpliVishal) December 2, 2015

Bhatt had taken on the Gujarat government headed by Narendra Modi over the 2002 post-Godhra riots. He was sacked in August this year on the basis of "a sham inquiry" with regard to his "unauthorized absence" from service when he had come to Ahmedabad to depose before the SIT probing the 2002 riots in the state.
