One of men's tennis more revered rivalries in the modern era of the sport will once again come to the fore when Roger Federer will lock horns with defending champion Novak Djokovic in the finals of the 2019 Wimbledon mens'singles at the Centre Court later in the evening.

The men's singles finals of Wimbledon 2019 is scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm (IST)


The eight time Wimbledon champion Federer secured a berth in his record extending 12th finals at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club by defeating his arch rival Rafael Nadal in a four-set semi-final encounter. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic was also stretched to four sets in his semi-final win over Spain's R. Bautista Agut.

While Federer is eyeing a record extending 9th Wimbledon title, his opponent Djokovic will be gunning for his fifth crown at the oldest grand slam tournament on the planet.

The gladiators of modern tennis will be facing off at the Wimbledon summit clash for the third time, with Djokovic winning the previous two finals against Federer in 2014 and 2015.
