ABP Results: BJP + 47, Congress+ 20 in Maharashtra

Though the main contest is between the BJP and Congress on several seats in the state JJP, which broke away from the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), is also being closely watched. Other parties in the running are the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), AAP and Swaraj India party. The NDA alliance is squaring off against the Congress-NCP combine in the crucial contest characterised by defections from the Opposition camp. The recently conducted Assembly Elections witnessed a slump in voter turnout compared to 2014 elections with estimated turnout in Maharashtra stood at 58 per cent and in Haryana 64 per cent.
