As India celebrates its 72nd Independence Day with full zeal,  President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the citizens on the occasion.

Ahead of the celebrations, security has been tightened up in the capital city. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the National Flag at the Red Fort and is addressing the nation for the fifth time, among the presence of dignitaries. A huge crowd has already assembled at the venue to witness the flag-hoisting and listen to the Prime Minister's speech.
