Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that Kashmir has suffered a lot because of Article 370, and blamed former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru for the problems in the region.

Hitting out at Nehru, Shah said that the decision to take the Kashmir issue to the United Nation was "individually" taken by Jawaharlal Nehru.

He said that people have wrong notions about Article 370. “Even today there are many rumours doing rounds about Article 370 and Kashmir. It is important to clarify them,” Shah said addressing a gathering in New Delhi.
