Centre likely to cut GST rates before Diwali 2019

Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has indicated that centre will reduce GST rates ahead of Diwali 2019. 
Earlier, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkarih had assured the automobile industry of support from the centre, saying he will take up the industry's demand of GST reduction with the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He also said there is no plan to ban petrol and diesel vehicles.
