A special CBI court in Panchkula on Thursday sentenced self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and three others to life imprisonment for the murder of a journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati over 16 years ago. Reacting to the verdict, deceased Chhatrapati’s son said that he feels relieved.
Anshul Chattarpati, who fought a long battle for justice, told media “this is the triumph of truth, I feel relieved today. The prosecution had demanded capital punishment but we're satisfied with the punishment.”
