Gaganyaan: Know all about India's ambitious mission

The objective of the Gaganyaan project is to carry a three-member crew to low earth orbit and return them safely to a predefined destination on earth.
ISRO will send first Indian into Space by 2022 as announced by PM, says Dr Jitendra Singh. As announced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his Independence Day address, India's first Indian human mission will be launched by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) by 2022.
