Visulas from Ganga aarti at Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat after it got preponed due to Lunar Eclipse

Updated 27 Jul 2018 02:30 PM

The famous Ganga aarti at Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat was today held early in view of Lunar Eclipse.
Lunar Eclipse will have a lot of effect on India. It is being said that during this period one must not perform any good work. This is why many temples like Gauri Shankar in Delhi will be shut after 2.53 pm to 6 am the next day. On the other hand, Ganga aarti timings at Dashashwamedh Ghat have been shifted in the afternoon. Today the aarti will be performed at 1 pm. In Somnath Jyotirlinga temple there would be no prayer performance today but people can visit the temple as they do usually
